Nudeodde sequence homology between bovine, simian, and porcine rotaviras was deter iced by the RNA : RNA hybridization technique. Single stranded RNA, prepared in vitro with EDTA activated edogeneons viral RNA polymerise, was hybridised with tritiaa labeled bovine rotavhws geaomic RNA. The beteroduplex RNA was treated with single stranded RNA specific rionudeas s and the RNnse resistant hybrid RNA was precipitated, and collected by filtration on a filter paper. Seventy font percent RNA sequence homology between bovine and simian rotavirus and $ percent RNA re
quenee homology between bovine and porcine rota*us were observed. The low degree of sequence
homology between bovine and porcine rotaviru was confirmed by hybridization between tritium labeled single stranded RNA and viral gnomic RNA.
